Based on a decade supplying tailored software, author has imagined how political vote counts may be reported separately from actual raw data, and how insect population count reports may not accurately reflect a full environmental picture.
Industrial monitoring software guides production drift in a process, within specific mandated targets. This is to prove compliance to Government rules for food and other items at audits. Author has imagined this overview software implemented for political vote counts. Live monitoring auto-adjusts when a process drifts, to gently push results back towards the target. In an extended run with proven monitoring software, final results are precise. Key Corporate Legal production and due-diligence records generate by default. Reports of detail for any aspect of a process run are available, and can be tailored to suit. Author has imagined circumstances where vote count results are apparently skewed, and where raw data reports do not support observed insect losses, in a story of two very different areas of count practice that come together.
